We want to contribute to the spread of a new sense of design and its relation to nature. Is it possible to bridge the gap between animate and inanimate realms? Can design reconcile our mechanical-mechanistic universe with nature? Can design change the environmental conditions for a sort of self-replicating system? New insights are steadily coming into view, informed by new developments in the sciences. Design follows the law of evolution: replication, variation, competition, selection. We aim to understand how implicit practices can be more responsive to new knowledge, disseminating across design as a natural process.
